Seminary Retreat

All photos by Joellen P.
Our first week back at school the Junior class went on retreat
to a convent outside of Donaldson, IA.
Pictured above is the chapel in the mother house.

We spent most of our retreat learning about
different spiritual disciplines.
These include: Simplicity, guidance, meditation, submission, confession, prayer, solitude, worship, service, study, celebration, and fasting.

Our session on simplicity included taking an hour to cut up an onion.
It had to do with taking joy in the simple things in life.

Joellen wrote a wonderful post on her experience.

When we weren't in session we had a lot of fun playing games.
Stephen & I had fun teaching other students how to play Rook.

We also had some fun playing this Zombie game.
(maybe sounds weird, but was definitely fun)
