Cookie

Meet Cookie, Stephen's cat. He thinks He looks cute.
Particularly when he lays upside down like this - which he does.
We're not sure how he does it, or how it can be comfortable.

People-Watching

Working in the library makes for good people-watching opportunities.
I was somewhat distracted yesterday.
And by afternoon, the snow is all gone!

Chilled Blooms

It had been my plan to take a nice picture of the many blooming
daffodils that are brightening up the town of Holland.

But, this morning we woke up to unhappy and sad little blooms,
shivering under a fresh coat of snow.

Tonight was our school's Spring Banquet.
The picture isn't the greatest, but we had a fun evening.
Afterwards we played Rook with another couple.
Fun evening.

Fire Trucks

I came home to see fire trucks at the house next door. I'm not sure what was going on exactly, but they were there for a few hours. I didn't see any smoke.

In the Sugar Bush

We enjoyed some time with the neighbours in the sugar bush

You can go for a wagon ride and learn about how they
collect sap and make maple syrup.

Enjoying the ride.

They use lines rather than buckets in the bush these days.
They still have a few buckets,
but they're mostly to show how it used to be done.

The lines run downhill to different collection points.
This is one of the three. The sap is picked up when it's full,
and brought to the sugar shack to be boiled down.
