The canvas roof is going up...

The door is being put in.

The carpet is in.

And we're done - minus some needed dusting...

New House

The Nykamps are building a new house in Drayton

Day 9

We hung out with Oma and played Rummikub

Day 7 - Part II

The baby polar bear was very cute.

We thought it was funny that they had raccoons in the zoo.
They were even making a new spot for them.

This crocodile was very close to the glass.

And, to end the day, some time on the playground.

Day 7 - Part I

We went to the Zoo.
We began under the sea with the Puffins.

...the Jellyfish

...and the clown fish.

We saw the camels.

This bird was very colourful.

I took this through some binoculars.

Rinze & Stephen had fun in some turtle eggs.

Stephen didn't want to come out of his shell.

Day 6

Oma made lots of preparations for my birthday.

Her gift to me was cake - Appel & Kwark taart.

Day 5

We visited a water windmill near 't Woudt.

It was very windy and it was working hard.

We got a tour of the inside - this was the living area.

We also climbed to the very top.

They had working models of other windmills as well.

This one made flour.

Later we went to the beach.

And went out for supper with the Herbert cousins.

Day 4

We took the train from Delft to Dordrecht

We visited the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht.

The stained glass was beautiful.

This piece depicts the stoning of Stephen.

When we walked out of the church we ran into a wedding.

For supper we went to a pancake house in Maasland.

Oma had strawberries on hers.

Oma took this picture on the way home.
