Lunch break

The other barn with the chickens inside. This one barn produces 42 million eggs per year. Now, with the other barn included it'll be 84 million (approx. 230 000 eggs per day, if Dad did the math right...).

The co-op accidently sprayed Brad's field with roundup. Not all of the corn was roundup ready, and now they have to replant with soybeans

This one looked like it was almost going to die this morning. It looks a little better now, but it's not 'out of the woods' yet.

Dad cleaned out the pens, so hopefully they won't get sick anymore.

A cow isn't doing too good either.

We tube-fed her some water after chores today.

Dad's boots are falling apart. Yesterday the steel toe fell out of the one, and it looks like the other could fall out pretty soon too.

Looks Like Summer

What beautiful weather for Father's Day. The hay in the field is drying nicely, and the temperature is up in the mid-twenties. Dad and I spent the afternoon at the Curry's - we ate lunch and played cards OUTSIDE! How wonderful is that?

Letter "F"

Marc got my Dad a camera for in the barn so that you can see what's going on there from inside the house.

We mostly use it to see if there are any cows calving.

Today we just got a heifer!

Hay Demonstration

We went to a John Deere hay demonstration.

They were trying to show off this wagon.

Unloading

We got a "tour" - driving beside it while it was working. It didn't start out too good because it got plugged up right away. It got better afterwards though :D

General Synod

I had the privilege of attending this year's RCA General Synod.

It was actually a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.

The "Call Waiting" Group (otherwise known as the youth delegates)
