Nannying

I spent the week at my friend Christa's. She hurt her back really badly, so I had the priviledge of helping her out a bit.

That help included watching her two adorable children.

Sunsets, Baseball, and Fireworks

For a day full of rain clouds it was a wonderful surprise to still be able to enjoy a spectacular sunset

To celebrate Mapleton and Canada Day there was a special baseball game - the New Zealand Black Sox vs. the South Perth All-Stars

They played two 5-inning games. First one was tied 2-2, and the second one was 2-0 for New Zealand.

The fireworks were fun to watch - a great end to a fun day!

Visite

We had some visitors from Holland come yesterday

Linda

Miranda

and Sjaan & Piet (and Jake & Hendrika of course)

Goodbye Miranda!
Mir also stopped by to say goodbye.
Since our work is finished she headed home.

Canada Day Festivities

Mapleton turned 10 years old today, so they had a special day set up in Drayton. Dad and I joined the festivities for a while.
Tonight we'll go to the fireworks.
John Wilkinson, our MPP, had a turn in the dunk tank
Dad was the second to try to knock him in the water.
Someone else eventually got him to fall in.

You could enter a draw to win this quilt.
