Exhibitions & Showers

Miranda hosted a Baby Shower for her sister at our house yesterday.

We played "pin the head on the baby" (see the little neck in the sack)

Blue heads were boys, Pink ones were girls.
The closest to the right spot would predict what gender Laurie's baby will be.
The boy won - we'll see what it ends up being :D
In the evening we had Angie and Audrey's Art Exhibition.

I think it was a big hit, and there were a lot of people who showed up to support them.

Like father, like daughter?

Angie took her sewing machine apart because it was making funny squeeking sounds.

She ended up spraying some sort of vegetable oil to try and stop it

...and put it back together.

However, it worked worse than when she began, and she's currently out buying a new sewing machine.

Weddings

I've been working hard on presentations and final midterms this week, and haven't had a whole lot of time to post. But, here's a little glimpse at what I've been up to :)

A Hindu wedding couple

A Jewish couple

... and finally, a Dutch couple.

If you haven't guessed it yet, my friend Hannah and I are doing our presentation on weddings from different countries, cultures and religions. This is only my part, but it's kind of fun to research. Hopefully we'll be able to get it all put together before we have to present :S

First snow

It's finally snowing!
We had a little bit of snow over the weekend, but this stuff actually has a chance of staying for a little while.

Photo-quilting

Angie's hard at work on her photo-quilt

Half-Birthdays

Today is my half-birthday. Last night my housemates took me out to see a movie, and bought me a wonderful flowering plant (to replace my dead ivy).
And, just incase you're wondering, we celebrate half-birthdays when you don't have a birthday in the school year. It's fun, and a Redeemer-thing.

Crazy Weather

These are taken by Angie a few weeks ago (I think 3) when we were driving back to Ancaster from home. It was a pretty amazing sight.

The sky was super dark

Road Trip

I went on a little trip to Grandville, Michigan. The colours are still beautiful there.
