I went to a friend's for lunch today after church,

and this really made me laugh, so I thought I'd share.

Canadian Friends

Marion & Marijke came for a conference at Western this weekend.

We eventually decided this sculpture was a modern interpretation of the anchor...
In other words, we don't really know what it is.

Maple Creek

I'm doing my internship placement at Maple Creek this year,
as a chaplain intern

Maple Creek is fairly large.
It has a retirement home complex, called the Terraces,
two nursing home facilities, the Woods & the Lodge,
and also several homes called the Cottages.

I'm mostly in either the Terraces

or the Lodge & the Woods

New Project

I've started a new crochet project.
Hopefully I'll finish it before things get too hectic.

Before & After

Today, Megan (roommate from last year) moved all of her
stuff out of our apartment and into her new house.

So, we had to dig up some furniture from the basement and
go out and buy a few necessary items, such as a vacuum cleaner!

Campfire

We enjoyed a Friday night campfire.
Here they call this a bonfire.
Personally, I picture a bonfire as being somewhat larger...

It's definitely a good time of fellowship.

Puzzling Away

Sarah Jo bought a puzzle and we've been working hard at it.
Apparently we have to finish before Saturday.
